Birol Parsbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Yura in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktaç Dahi in the 8th minute of play forced Elbeyli SK's goalkeeper Volker Gartler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Elbeyli SK's Gani Özgenay got a free kick in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aktaç Dahi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Sivasspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aktaç Dahi to maneuver through the defense. Birol Parsbay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Ali Şirvan in the 18th minute. Volker Gartler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bilal Yordam in the 27th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Elbeyli SK's Birol Parsbay threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mehmet Edip Yura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Volker Gartler came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Sivasspor's Bilal Yordam. But to his dismay, Bilal Yordam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Volker Gartler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özden Ersavaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehmet Edip Yura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Özden Ersavaş had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Volker Gartler. Elbeyli SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Özden Ersavaş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Elbeyli SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute, Hakkı Semdin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Birol Parsbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Birol Parsbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Edip Yura in the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sivasspor's Aktaç Dahi got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Bilal Yordam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sivasspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When Tekin Taşan fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sivasspor's protests and gave Tekin Taşan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Tekin Taşan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ahmet Ali Şirvan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elbeyli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Ali Şirvan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birol Parsbay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Sivasspor's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Edip Yura came free, but Birol Parsbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Nafiz Arslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elbeyli SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nafiz Arslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Elbeyli SK's goalkeeper Volker Gartler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aktaç Dahi.
