When Aysan İmamoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Elmadag fans jumped to their feet. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökcan Taykara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Arın Pozan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gökcan Taykara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ahmet Arif Eskioğlu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Elmadag's Aysan İmamoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökcan Taykara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 60 minutes, Pekin Hafızoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elmadag and the Menderes SK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
