Hayri Afşar charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hayri Afşar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AKCAKÖY getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saruhan Ergüvenç got free with Celil Erdoğdu in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celil Erdoğdu made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Saruhan Ergüvenç sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Osman Bağcıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Aşır Uzhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celil Erdoğdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celil Erdoğdu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selahaddin Bilkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, AKCAKÖY's goalkeeper Celil Erdoğdu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Semail Behram. Celil Erdoğdu was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Saruhan Ergüvenç capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Saruhan Ergüvenç really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aşır Uzhan to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Osman Bağcıoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKCAKÖY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ahirkapi the free kick. After a rather tough play, AKCAKÖY's Osman Bağcıoğlu got a free kick in the 55th minute. AKCAKÖY's Celil Erdoğdu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşır Uzhan in the 56th minute of play. Celil Erdoğdu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selahaddin Bilkan in the 58th minute of the match. When Mustafa Hamit Akansel came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the AKCAKÖY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Hamit Akansel couldn't finish the play. Semail Behram recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celil Erdoğdu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aşır Uzhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Celil Erdoğdu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semail Behram in the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, AKCAKÖY's goal looked a bit too open when Semail Behram came free, but Celil Erdoğdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AKCAKÖY getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Hayri Afşar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semail Behram in the 85th minute of play forced AKCAKÖY's goalkeeper Celil Erdoğdu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Semail Behram made a precise shot to the right of Celil Erdoğdu. AKCAKÖY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Mustafa Hamit Akansel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ahirkapi fully deserved thier win.
