The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cevat Serdengeçti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aşır Uzhan in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Onur Ali Selçuk saved Ferizli from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aşır Uzhan was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Sancarbey Temirkut put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cevat Serdengeçti. Aşır Uzhan in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Resul İhya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferizli's supporters rose to their feet, but Resul İhya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cevat Serdengeçti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Resul İhya in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cevat Serdengeçti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahirkapi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
