Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Süruri Sanih kicked off to start the match. If Süruri Sanih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nurkan Binışık made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Furkan Yenbu in the 9th minute of play. Esentepe SK's İrfan Korkut got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Süruri Sanih's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vecdet Biçim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes US Città di Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Agah Pınar. 17 minutes into the match, Esentepe SK's Rıfkı Yasık sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vecdet Biçim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Nurettin Kocaalp made a precise shot to the right of Vecdet Biçim. US Città di Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. İrfan Korkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Süruri Sanih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdet Biçim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Süruri Sanih put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Vecdet Biçim. Süruri Sanih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vecdet Biçim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rıfkı Yasık's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vecdet Biçim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Esentepe SK's Rıfkı Yasık nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vecdet Biçim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Süruri Sanih in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vecdet Biçim saved US Città di Palermo from getting behind. Vecdet Biçim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfkı Yasık in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Esentepe SK were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agah Pınar to make the kick off. With a little luck, US Città di Palermo's Vecdet Biçim got control of the ball when Süruri Sanih tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, US Città di Palermo's Naci Reha got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind US Città di Palermo's goalkeeper Vecdet Biçim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vecdet Biçim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Süruri Sanih's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Süruri Sanih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Biçim having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Arslan Uzgoren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esentepe SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arslan Uzgoren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vecdet Biçim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Arslan Uzgoren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vecdet Biçim came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Esentepe SK's Rıfkı Yasık. But to his dismay, Rıfkı Yasık quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Süruri Sanih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vecdet Biçim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İrfan Korkut in the 76th minute of the match. Süruri Sanih struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Vecdet Biçim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esentepe SK. Furkan Yenbu charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Furkan Yenbu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Furkan Yenbu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rıfkı Yasık fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Biçim having to interfere. Süruri Sanih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vecdet Biçim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arslan Uzgoren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vecdet Biçim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rıfkı Yasık went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Süruri Sanih blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vecdet Biçim having to make a save. Arslan Uzgoren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vecdet Biçim having to make a save. After 94 played minutes US Città di Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Agah Pınar. Esentepe SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
