After having played for 4 minutes, Gürsel Özertem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cemaller fk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gürsel Özertem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vecdet Biçim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aziz Çakmur in the 10th minute of play. Gürsel Özertem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Biçim having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Ayvaz Kayıboylu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vecdet Biçim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agah Pınar's late challenge caught a Cemaller fk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agah Pınar helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes US Città di Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Agah Pınar. In the 87th minute Gürsel Özertem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdet Biçim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vecdet Biçim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ayvaz Kayıboylu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Alim Ocakoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vecdet Biçim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cemaller fk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
