The audience thought a goal was coming when Nizam Barkan got free with Ecevit Fidan in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes of play, Süleymaniye SK's Utkan Ülker made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mithat Kocak was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute, Duran Sanak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Utkan Ülker was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Süleymaniye SK's Utkan Ülker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mithat Kocak. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. Mithat Kocak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Utkan Ülker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 68 minute of play. Özal Mübarek hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match Süleymaniye SK got a corner. TrabzonSpor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Utkan Ülker ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of TrabzonSpor's goalie and right to Utkan Ülker. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. TrabzonSpor's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 90th minute, Utkan Ülker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Utkan Ülker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mithat Kocak was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Süleymaniye SK played a much better game than TrabzonSpor and deserved their victory. The TrabzonSpor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
