US Città di Palermo's Vecdet Biçim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry De Ryck in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Perry De Ryck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vecdet Biçim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Özgün Tolgay's late challenge caught a US Città di Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Özgün Tolgay helped the player get up and apologised. Özgün Tolgay kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Perry De Ryck got in the 43rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Vecdet Biçim handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After the first half International FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perry De Ryck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Perry De Ryck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vecdet Biçim. That made the score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. Maxim Ciompec got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-6 in the right cross in the 64th match minute before Vecdet Biçim had time to react. Vecdet Biçim was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Halis Özguc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Halis Özguc really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Ege Mülayim might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vecdet Biçim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ege Mülayim ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Perry De Ryck took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Vecdet Biçim to make any attempt to save it. Perry De Ryck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vecdet Biçim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halis Özguc got free with Vecdet Biçim in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maxim Ciompec scored 0-9 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vecdet Biçim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Ege Mülayim fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vecdet Biçim, passed just outside the right post. US Città di Palermo's Vecdet Biçim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save US Città di Palermo from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute of the match, Radomir Zaworski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vecdet Biçim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Perry De Ryck managed to get in a good position for a shot. International FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Perry De Ryck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vecdet Biçim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, US Città di Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Özgün Tolgay came free, but Vecdet Biçim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The US Città di Palermo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. International FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
