Poyraz Işınay hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alparslan Yunus during the 19th minute. Tortuga's Tamer Koral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Poyraz Işınay in the 45th minute of play. Tamer Koral came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Silifke's Aybar Olcaytug. But to his dismay, Aybar Olcaytug quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Silifke were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
