After some careless play in the Fenerbahçe SK defense, Vural Eren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Niguel. The Fenerbahçe SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Niguel should have stopped the shot. Erkan Dengizer kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of Fenerbahçe SK booed when Akpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferid Turhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Ahmet Ömür Adahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzer Akçalı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nurtekin Taci got free with Anibal Niguel in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Gariboğlu in the 17th minute of play forced Akpinar's goalkeeper Oğuzer Akçalı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tahsin Gariboğlu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Oğuzer Akçalı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe SK. Güney Bozyiğit's late challenge caught a Fenerbahçe SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güney Bozyiğit helped the player get up and apologised. Güney Bozyiğit kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Tahsin Gariboğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Akpinar's Oğuzer Akçalı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th match minute, Akpinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nurtekin Taci to maneuver through the defense. Fenerbahçe SK's Tahsin Gariboğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damiano Colantonio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kahraman Paksu made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arın Lami came free, but Anibal Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe SK's Ali Emir Özdeş got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nurtekin Taci in the 56th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe SK's goalkeeper Anibal Niguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anibal Niguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kahraman Paksu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The Akpinar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Akpinar fully deserved thier win.
