Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orhun Bayazid in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ziemowit Kaczanek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ferit Ongar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Altindag got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Orkun Şahabeddin. After 36 minutes, Ahmet Harun İşcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altindag and the Gönen FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Altindag got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Harun İşcan. Ziemowit Kaczanek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kutlualp Darcan in the 41st minute of the match. Ferit Ongar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Kadir Salim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

With his leg Ziemowit Kaczanek managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Altindag's Orhun Bayazid fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Orhun Bayazid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altindag's supporters rose to their feet, but Orhun Bayazid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ziemowit Kaczanek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Harun İşcan kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ahmet Harun İşcan lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Cumali Derdiyok kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Necdet Gökdoğan's late challenge caught a Gönen FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Necdet Gökdoğan helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferit Ongar in the 87th minute of play forced Altindag's goalkeeper Kadir Salim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Ferit Ongar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kadir Salim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gönen FK's Peli Ascargorta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 100th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Altindag.
