The referee ignored HiLaLiM FC's protests and gave Berker Rıza Ispartalı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Sacit Onuralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by İlkan Gülerce in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by TRABZON SPOR's Şimşek Çokman. 10 minutes into the match, Haluk Işın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yahya Hürmetli. HiLaLiM FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haluk Işın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 15 minutes of play, TRABZON SPOR's Şimşek Çokman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yahya Hürmetli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Behiç Tümkut's late challenge caught a TRABZON SPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Behiç Tümkut helped the player get up and apologised. Behiç Tümkut kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Güngör Bakırhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Alptuğ Dilsaz made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Haluk Işın ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yahya Hürmetli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 35th minute, Behiç Tümkut fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Behiç Tümkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Şimşek Çokman managed to get in a good position for a shot. TRABZON SPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Şimşek Çokman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yahya Hürmetli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vecdi Keçeli in the 47th minute of play forced HiLaLiM FC's goalkeeper Yahya Hürmetli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haluk Işın to strike the kick off in the second half. Yahya Hürmetli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haluk Işın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in TRABZON SPOR's zone, Behiç Tümkut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alptuğ Dilsaz came out of the goal and Behiç Tümkut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of HiLaLiM FC booed when TRABZON SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Nihat Akpolat didn't get a good kick on the ball. HiLaLiM FC's Kuddusî Olgunay got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, HiLaLiM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berker Rıza Ispartalı to maneuver through the defense. If Behiç Tümkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Yaşar Eker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HiLaLiM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaşar Eker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, HiLaLiM FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haluk Işın came free, but Yahya Hürmetli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Şimşek Çokman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The TRABZON SPOR players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
