Veysel Erdesir hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bandırmaspor's Aygün Talu got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sariz's zone, Uluç Ubeydullah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Kıvılcım came out of the goal and Uluç Ubeydullah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anıl Baran Atlıhan fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sariz's protests and gave Anıl Baran Atlıhan a yellow card for diving instead.
