Samir Okay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kahraman Kaçkar in the 11th minute of play forced Karlıova Futbol Kulübü's goalkeeper Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şükrü Lütufkâr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erkut Yaltır in the 13th minute. If Ceyhan Özsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ceyhan Özsu came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Karlıova Futbol Kulübü fans jumped to their feet. Bektaş Veli Hüryaşar's late challenge caught a Karlıova Futbol Kulübü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bektaş Veli Hüryaşar helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sputnik Gücü had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
