Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arif Gaffar Tanyolaç started the match with the kick off. When Şinasi Başarman fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gelâtâserray's protests and gave Şinasi Başarman a yellow card for diving instead. Şinasi Başarman kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Fatih Aytuğ struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Şükrü Lütufkâr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelâtâserray. A very good chance. Gelâtâserray's Peter Blakewell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Gelâtâserray from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamdi Öztaylan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peter Blakewell. That made the score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kahraman Kaçkar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Hamdi Öztaylan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gelâtâserray's Peter Blakewell. Peter Blakewell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fatih Aytuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Sputnik Gücü's Bektaş Veli Hüryaşar got a free kick in the 74th minute. Peter Blakewell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahraman Kaçkar in the 82nd minute of play. Hamdi Öztaylan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Ahmet Hekimhanlı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gelâtâserray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sputnik Gücü the free kick. A collision led to Gelâtâserray getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ahmet Hekimhanlı hit a great ball. After 88 minutes of play, Sputnik Gücü's Hamdi Öztaylan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Blakewell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fatih Aytuğ struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Şükrü Lütufkâr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelâtâserray. In the 96th minute Kahraman Kaçkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Blakewell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gelâtâserray players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sputnik Gücü.
