With splendid footwork Afşin Ongen arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olcay Orkun Tunçbilek made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Ankara Gençlik ve Spor got a freekick which was hit by Polat Aybar. Nurkan Haylaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nihat Şabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Ali Faruk Orkan struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Nurkan Haylaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EkMeK Spor. In the 67th minute, Baybars Şennur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nihat Şabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Ankara Gençlik ve Spor support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
