Şamil Tanay hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. İsmail Hakkı Tolgay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egemen Nuralp in the 12th minute of play. Galatasaray S.K's Şamil Tanay got his second yellow card of the match in the 13th minute. The referee ordered Şamil Tanay off the ground. After 15 played minutes Galatasaray S.K got a freekick which was hit by Garip Tuğsav. Akşemseddin Kudret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Hakkı Tolgay having to interfere. İsmail Hakkı Tolgay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egemen Nuralp's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Egemen Nuralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egemen Nuralp in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İsmail Hakkı Tolgay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. İsmail Hakkı Tolgay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akşemseddin Kudret in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Bulut Duran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mut and the Galatasaray S.K players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Galatasaray S.K booed when Mut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bulut Duran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Galatasaray S.K and the Mut players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the game, one of Galatasaray S.K:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half Mut were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Onur Ali Kürşat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gökçe Demren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for İsmail Hakkı Tolgay. Galatasaray S.K's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Galatasaray S.K's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Egemen Nuralp scored to the left of an out of position İsmail Hakkı Tolgay, making the score, 1-4. Akşemseddin Kudret struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. İsmail Hakkı Tolgay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mut. In the 84th minute, Mustafa Hakan Hisar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İsmail Hakkı Tolgay was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. A collision led to Mut getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mustafa Hakan Hisar hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Bulut Duran suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 90 minutes, Ali Nabi Okgüç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray S.K and the Mut players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Galatasaray S.K got a freekick which was hit by Ali Nabi Okgüç. Batıkan Uludağ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onur Ali Kürşat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Galatasaray S.K's İsmail Hakkı Tolgay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray S.K from getting a goal against them. Mut played a much better game than Galatasaray S.K and deserved their victory. The Galatasaray S.K players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
