Sait Kaman ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the game, Kanarya SK's Ahmet Danış Mansız nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Hamza Nazif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Ahmet Danış Mansız had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Hamza Nazif. Sunlord F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Danış Mansız was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ersan Arınç hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orhan Seyfi Erçin in the 38th minute of play forced Kanarya SK's goalkeeper Yaser Önen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Kanarya SK's Mustafa Haydar Hirfet got a free kick in the 39th minute. The goalkeeper, Yaser Önen, was totally fooled by Sunlord F.C.'s Özalp Tümcan, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Danış Mansız to make the kick off.
