The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Forest Bellamy fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smýrni FC's protests and gave Forest Bellamy a yellow card for diving instead. Forest Bellamy kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Hamza İnanöz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Dursun in the 6th minute of the match. Sabri Dino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Yaşer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Smýrni FC's Benigno Velez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hamza İnanöz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 21 minutes into the match, Armutlu's goalkeeper Hamza İnanöz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Akay Koryürek. A collision led to Armutlu getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Atilla Bumin Kutyan hit a great ball. Sabri Dino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tamer Yaşer in the 37th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Smýrni FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Yaşer came free, but Sabri Dino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Tamer Yaşer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Armutlu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Armutlu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armutlu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
