Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Izmirspor's Nazmi Yerel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Burç Onul came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Sarayburnu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Burç Onul couldn't finish the play. In the 7th match minute, Izmirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boğaç Adıvar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sungur Eraslan in the 9th minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Abdulhamit Nazmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sungur Eraslan in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdulhamit Nazmi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sungur Eraslan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Abdulhamit Nazmi made a huge save. Abdulhamit Nazmi made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Sungur Eraslan sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, one of Sarayburnu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fazlı Tayfun had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Kıvanç Göktürk's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sarayburnu's Sungur Eraslan got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Necip Tokuzer's late challenge caught a Izmirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Necip Tokuzer helped the player get up and apologised. Necip Tokuzer kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Boğaç Adıvar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fazlı Tayfun. Sarayburnu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fazlı Tayfun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazmi Yerel in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğa Rusuhi in the 42nd minute of play forced Sarayburnu's goalkeeper Fazlı Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Izmirspor's Abdulhamit Nazmi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Izmirspor from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Sungur Eraslan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sungur Eraslan made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazmi Yerel in the 57th minute of play forced Sarayburnu's goalkeeper Fazlı Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Sungur Eraslan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Izmirspor's Abdulhamit Nazmi. Abdulhamit Nazmi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fazlı Tayfun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nazmi Yerel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sarayburnu getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ulu Boz hit a great ball. Burç Onul hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Sarayburnu's Fazlı Tayfun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazmi Yerel in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Sarayburnu booed when Izmirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Barış Oba didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Nusret Şahit from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Fazlı Tayfun's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 79th minute Nazmi Yerel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fazlı Tayfun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğa Rusuhi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Sungur Eraslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match Boğaç Adıvar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fazlı Tayfun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Izmirspor's Göksun Şeref made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fazlı Tayfun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sungur Eraslan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdulhamit Nazmi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Sarayburnu were the better team. Sarayburnu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
