After a rather tough play, GeriDönüşFC's Orçun Umuralp got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ahmet Gökalp Esentürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ergin Taşel having to interfere. A collision led to GeriDönüşFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Orçun Umuralp hit a great ball. Ergin Taşel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burç Onul, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Orçun Umuralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fazlı Tayfun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fazlı Tayfun came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by GeriDönüşFC's Antônio Carlos Botelho. But to his dismay, Antônio Carlos Botelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Sarayburnu's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Jordy came free, but Fazlı Tayfun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarayburnu's Sungur Eraslan got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sungur Eraslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ergin Taşel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Jordy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fazlı Tayfun. Sarayburnu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Jordy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GeriDönüşFC's goalkeeper Ergin Taşel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burç Onul in the 44th minute of play forced GeriDönüşFC's goalkeeper Ergin Taşel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Burç Onul in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ergin Taşel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Jordy to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sarayburnu's zone, Antônio Carlos Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fazlı Tayfun came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burç Onul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, GeriDönüşFC's goalkeeper Ergin Taşel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hayati Ünver. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayati Ünver got free with Ergin Taşel in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the match, GeriDönüşFC's goalkeeper Ergin Taşel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hayati Ünver. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burç Onul in the 71st minute of play forced GeriDönüşFC's goalkeeper Ergin Taşel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sarayburnu booed when GeriDönüşFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Sarayburnu got a freekick which was hit by Hayati Ünver. The GeriDönüşFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
