Eriberto Feliu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdulhamit Nazmi. Izmirspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Arnoldo Jordy scored to the left of an out of position Abdulhamit Nazmi, making the score, 1-0. Abdulhamit Nazmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Jordy in the 11th minute of play. When Eriberto Feliu fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GeriDönüşFC's protests and gave Eriberto Feliu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Izmirspor booed when GeriDönüşFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Feliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kıvanç Göktürk struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Ergin Taşel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izmirspor. In the 20th minute, Göksun Şeref ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ergin Taşel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 25thth minute of the game Arnoldo Jordy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izmirspor's Abdulhamit Nazmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mustafa Barış Oba kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ergin Taşel came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Izmirspor's Göksun Şeref. But to his dismay, Göksun Şeref quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. During the 31st minute of the match Eriberto Feliu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eriberto Feliu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After the first half Izmirspor were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nazmi Yerel made a kick off. After 54 played minutes GeriDönüşFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Jordy. GeriDönüşFC's Ergin Taşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazmi Yerel in the 57th minute of play. When Doğa Rusuhi fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izmirspor's protests and gave Doğa Rusuhi a yellow card for diving instead. When GeriDönüşFC's Orçun Umuralp in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The GeriDönüşFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ergin Taşel should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Botelho notched a goal, 3-7, to the right of Izmirspor's Abdulhamit Nazmi. Abdulhamit Nazmi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Izmirspor getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Doğa Rusuhi hit a great ball. Reşat Cangiray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Izmirspor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
