Altay Uluer guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Altay Uluer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Haydar Oğuzata's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Altay Uluer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenan Kapar in the 44th minute of play. Kerem Akbaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Eguen having to interfere. Acar Gezer's late challenge caught a 1984's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rıfkı Sebukalp was the one to do the kick off. Altay Uluer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Altay Uluer was a little too slow when Ali Haydar Oğuzata got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 59th minute, Rıfkı Sebukalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rıfkı Sebukalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Altay Uluer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Burhanettin Kiray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rıfkı Sebukalp came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ankaragücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıfkı Sebukalp couldn't finish the play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Rıfkı Sebukalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1984's Altay Uluer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ali Haydar Oğuzata in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Altay Uluer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rıfkı Sebukalp in the 78th minute of play forced 1984's goalkeeper Altay Uluer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altay Uluer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rıfkı Sebukalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altay Uluer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rıfkı Sebukalp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 91 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ankaragücü left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1984.
