The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the çağdaş defense, Resulhan Oytunç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuh Doğa. Nuh Doğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göksel Usbey in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Resulhan Oytunç in the 16th minute of play forced çağdaş's goalkeeper Nuh Doğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Resulhan Oytunç sped through çağdaş's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nuh Doğa. Nuh Doğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göksel Usbey, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of Istanbulls booed when çağdaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlmi Özekan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th match minute, Istanbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adnan Erben to maneuver through the defense. çağdaş's Nuh Doğa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save çağdaş from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Aziz Çokman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuh Doğa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Resulhan Oytunç helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Istanbulls got a freekick which was hit by Resulhan Oytunç. Istanbulls played a much better game than çağdaş and deserved their victory. The çağdaş players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
