The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zühtü Celvet was the one to do the kick off. Ahmet Koralp Ensar might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gencalp Kırgız. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Koralp Ensar ran back to his position shaking his head. Gencalp Kırgız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zühtü Celvet in the 56th minute of the match. Gencalp Kırgız took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsa Boğatekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Tanju Derelioğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gencalp Kırgız was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 66 minutes into the match, Zühtü Celvet notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Erzurum's Gencalp Kırgız. Gencalp Kırgız was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ŞANLI FENERBAHÇEM SPOR's Emre Keramettin got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Erzurum defense, Ahmet Koralp Ensar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gencalp Kırgız. The Erzurum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gencalp Kırgız should have stopped the shot.
