The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serbülent Kurhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Baha Bozbora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Baran Benlioğlu having to interfere. The supporters of Datca booed when Muhafızgücü SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Önder Onsoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Baran Benlioğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atahan Yağıztekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güvenç Sağbilge made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ahmet Nedim Yiğit sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Datca defense, Ahmet Nedim Yiğit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Güvenç Sağbilge. The Datca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güvenç Sağbilge should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atahan Yağıztekin to make the kick off. Serbülent Kurhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes Muhafızgücü SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Nedim Yiğit. The crowd rose to their feet as Atahan Yağıztekin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ali Baran Benlioğlu. That made the score 1-2 in the 59 minute of play. Serbülent Kurhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Baran Benlioğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Güvenç Sağbilge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vecdi Dürüst in the 66th minute of play. Atahan Yağıztekin took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Baran Benlioğlu. Ali Baran Benlioğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Serbülent Kurhan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Ali Baran Benlioğlu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 79th minute, but Ali Baran Benlioğlu got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Muhafızgücü SK hanging dry this time. Ali Baran Benlioğlu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Serbülent Kurhan sent off a good shot on target. Ulu Çelebi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. With his leg Ali Baran Benlioğlu managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Datca's Gazanfer Necid fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Datca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
