The corner led to Salamanca UDS's David Holmstedt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mehmet Akdoğu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Holmstedt's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Niğde FK's Mehmet Akdoğu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Niğde FK from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Akdoğu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Carvalho in the 15th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Isac Gueifão in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Niğde FK's Rahim Cingöz. Joaquim Carvalho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mehmet Akdoğu came out and tried to block the shot, but Joaquim Carvalho slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute.
