Dilmen Berksoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Tacal in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Hızır Ünsaç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Artvin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği the free kick. A collision led to Artvin getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hızır Ünsaç hit a great ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Göktürk Tacal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Artvin's Dilmen Berksoy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kılıçalp Üstündağ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Ozan Beşir, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktürk Tacal in the 27th minute of play forced Artvin's goalkeeper Dilmen Berksoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Artvin's zone, Göktürk Tacal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dilmen Berksoy came out of the goal and Göktürk Tacal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Göktürk Tacal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes, Gary Lineker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Artvin and the Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Artvin's Gary Lineker got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktürk Tacal in the 45th minute of play forced Artvin's goalkeeper Dilmen Berksoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Arif Ozan Beşir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kılıçalp Üstündağ. Arif Ozan Beşir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Artvin's zone, Göktürk Tacal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dilmen Berksoy came out of the goal and Göktürk Tacal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th match minute, Artvin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reha Yalvaç to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Gary Lineker came free, but Kılıçalp Üstündağ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Artvin booed when Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ünsal Şenyaşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göktürk Tacal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dilmen Berksoy made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Göktürk Tacal sent off a good shot on target. Dilmen Berksoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Tacal in the 71st minute of play. After 76 minutes of play, Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği's Göktürk Tacal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dilmen Berksoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dilmen Berksoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göktürk Tacal's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği's Kılıçalp Üstündağ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Ozan Beşir in the 84th minute of play. Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği's Göktürk Tacal got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Arif Ozan Beşir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kılıçalp Üstündağ. Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arif Ozan Beşir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 96th minute Gary Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kılıçalp Üstündağ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Artvin had won after a very even match.
