When Eren Özgan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Eren Özgan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eren Özgan to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute of the match Baysal Horasan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Binali Özgener showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 51st minute, Çağan Yeğiner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çağan Yeğiner in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Binali Özgener saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. In the 56th minute Teoman Gariboğlu collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. GALATASARAY's Doğaner Çağkar was substituted for Teoman Gariboğlu. Özal Çağakan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match.
