Emre Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to NİĞDE FK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Azim Özkutsal hit a great ball. Hüseyin Turan Tuğkun kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Mehmet Arif Çetintürk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jean Oliva took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thoyib Alatas. Thoyib Alatas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Fahri Balaban came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the 19 Mayıs Belediyespor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fahri Balaban couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, 19 Mayıs Belediyespor's goal looked a bit too open when Şerif Öksüz came free, but Thoyib Alatas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Fahri Balaban made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Oliva got free with Thoyib Alatas in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Azim Özkutsal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Thoyib Alatas made a huge save. Jean Oliva's late challenge caught a 19 Mayıs Belediyespor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
