When GALATASARAY's Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kuva-yi Milliye's goalie prevented a goal. Batıhan Alatay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Tarkan Gurbet having to interfere. In the 6thth minute of the game Abdi Saygın Ergener who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kuva-yi Milliye's Wieslaw Kazczyk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hilmi Türkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Kuva-yi Milliye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Sezmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wieslaw Kazczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 played minutes Kuva-yi Milliye got a freekick which was hit by Abdurrezzak Orkan. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY's zone, Hakkı Sayyad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilla Tarkan Gurbet came out of the goal and Hakkı Sayyad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wieslaw Kazczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Saygın Ergener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kuva-yi Milliye getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arif Oğuz İmren hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Kuva-yi Milliye's goal looked a bit too open when Hilmi Türkoğlu came free, but Wieslaw Kazczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuva-yi Milliye's Wieslaw Kazczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hilmi Türkoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Kazczyk. Kuva-yi Milliye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hilmi Türkoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hilmi Türkoğlu scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wieslaw Kazczyk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, GALATASARAY's Abdi Saygın Ergener nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wieslaw Kazczyk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 36 minutes into the match, Kuva-yi Milliye's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Saygın Ergener came free, but Wieslaw Kazczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilmi Türkoğlu couldn't finish the play. Hilmi Türkoğlu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wieslaw Kazczyk. Wieslaw Kazczyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Roberto-Carlos da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Wieslaw Kazczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Abdi Saygın Ergener had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Kazczyk. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdi Saygın Ergener to make the kick off. Abdi Saygın Ergener received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wieslaw Kazczyk came out and tried to block the shot, but Abdi Saygın Ergener slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kuva-yi Milliye's goalkeeper Wieslaw Kazczyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Abdi Saygın Ergener sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wieslaw Kazczyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hilmi Türkoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wieslaw Kazczyk saved Kuva-yi Milliye from getting behind. Roberto-Carlos da Silva struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Wieslaw Kazczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. After 69th play minutes Abdi Saygın Ergener shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Wieslaw Kazczyk and just under the crossbar into goal. GALATASARAY's Hilmi Türkoğlu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wieslaw Kazczyk but with some difficulty. Wieslaw Kazczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 74th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Batıhan Alatay in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilla Tarkan Gurbet saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. When Abdi Saygın Ergener came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdi Saygın Ergener couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Batıhan Alatay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilla Tarkan Gurbet was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Saygın Ergener in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wieslaw Kazczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded GALATASARAY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kuva-yi Milliye.
