Buca İdman Yurdu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Qi Zhou scored to the left of an out of position Özal Pakel, making the score, 1-0. Gaziantep Futbol's Baldomero Etor came free and shot a quick shot against goal 12 minutes in the game, fortunately Özal Pakel had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Baldomero Etor had several of the Buca İdman Yurdu's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Özal Pakel as he didn't even see the shot coming. Buca İdman Yurdu's Hermínio Coutinho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ferhan Yafes in the 15 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Buca İdman Yurdu's Berat İkram got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Emre Orgen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Varol Hisarcık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Buca İdman Yurdu's Emre Orgen in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Hermínio Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gaziantep Futbol's Varol Hisarcık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahadırhan Totuk in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Gaziantep Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Bahadırhan Totuk came free, but Varol Hisarcık reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes in the game, Baldomero Etor fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Özal Pakel having to interfere. Varol Hisarcık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahadırhan Totuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Hermínio Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buca İdman Yurdu's protests and gave Hermínio Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Buca İdman Yurdu getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hermínio Coutinho hit a great ball. Qi Zhou hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gaziantep Futbol were victorious despite being under pressure from Buca İdman Yurdu for much of the match.
