Bartlomiej Zuraw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Stålberg in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that İldeniz Otay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dursun Ekinci was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Dayne's Alper Baydar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dursun Ekinci in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th minute, Batıray İpekçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Batistuta during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dayne's Gabriel Batistuta got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, MERT FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naci Kaynak to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dursun Ekinci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reginaldo Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, MERT FC's goalkeeper Dursun Ekinci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İldeniz Otay. In the 30th minute Naci Kaynak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartlomiej Zuraw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, İldeniz Otay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dayne's supporters rose to their feet, but İldeniz Otay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dursun Ekinci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dursun Ekinci made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Gabriel Batistuta sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Stålberg was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Gabriel Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dayne's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Batistuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dursun Ekinci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the match, MERT FC's goal looked a bit too open when İldeniz Otay came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MERT FC booed when Dayne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Alpman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dursun Ekinci came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Dayne's Reginaldo Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İldeniz Otay in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dursun Ekinci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dursun Ekinci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İldeniz Otay's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İldeniz Otay, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The supporters of MERT FC booed when Dayne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alper Baydar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Naci Kaynak came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the MERT FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naci Kaynak couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes of play, Dayne's İldeniz Otay made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dursun Ekinci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dursun Ekinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Pinheiro in the 75th minute of the match. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. MERT FC's Dursun Ekinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İldeniz Otay in the 87th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the MERT FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dayne.
