In the 36th minute Önder Kornes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Öztürk Cambaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zekeriya Eldem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Hondo to make the kick off. If Akay Tanyıldız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Önder Kornes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Sakaryaspor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Matias Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanos Saatsakis having to interfere. Thanos Saatsakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Hondo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Ümit Yaşanur kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Sakaryaspor's Ahmet Kadri Adılhan was substituted for Çeliker Dölek. The supporters of Efelerspor booed when Sakaryaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ümit Yaşanur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanos Saatsakis having to interfere. Efelerspor's Öztürk Cambaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Kadri Adılhan in the 86th minute of play. Öztürk Cambaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinçer Pekel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mahir Şahdar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
