The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anıl Baran Fırat came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahçe51's Yang Yu Hai. But to his dismay, Yang Yu Hai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Anıl Baran Fırat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yang Yu Hai in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Özen Kuter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe51 and the MURAT KARAKOÇ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fenerbahçe51 getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Özen Kuter hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Latif Bican sped through Fenerbahçe51's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mahir Sanak. Fenerbahçe51's Mahir Sanak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Nursal in the 21st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Clemente Anaya got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Fenerbahçe51 booed when MURAT KARAKOÇ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamil Baycan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yang Yu Hai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Anıl Baran Fırat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mahir Sanak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Latif Bican in the 29th minute of play. Anıl Baran Fırat made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Clemente Anaya sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Latif Bican in the 32nd minute of play forced Fenerbahçe51's goalkeeper Mahir Sanak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, one of MURAT KARAKOÇ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MURAT KARAKOÇ. After a defensive mix-up in MURAT KARAKOÇ's zone, Clemente Anaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anıl Baran Fırat came out of the goal and Clemente Anaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Fenerbahçe51 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Folker van Zanten hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Latif Bican to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, MURAT KARAKOÇ's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Anaya came free, but Anıl Baran Fırat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Yang Yu Hai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anıl Baran Fırat. MURAT KARAKOÇ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yang Yu Hai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Furkan Erşahin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A hard shot 65 in the game by Latif Bican from a close distance when the talented Mahir Sanak managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahçe51's players were relieved. Yang Yu Hai made a great header on Fenerbahçe51's corner, it was just that MURAT KARAKOÇ's Anıl Baran Fırat managed to reach the ball for a save. The Fenerbahçe51 fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Fenerbahçe51's Yang Yu Hai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anıl Baran Fırat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yang Yu Hai in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anıl Baran Fırat saved MURAT KARAKOÇ from getting behind. Fenerbahçe51 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MURAT KARAKOÇ for a fine match.
