After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe51's Zekeriya Tuğrul got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Fenerbahçe51's Mahir Sanak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alifonso Portalupi in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeray Ünverdi in the 14th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe51's goalkeeper Mahir Sanak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Yang Yu Hai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahçe51's supporters rose to their feet, but Yang Yu Hai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gení Cerreri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the game, Barlas Yoran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balabancıkspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe51 the free kick. A collision led to Balabancıkspor getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Barlas Yoran hit a great ball. Clemente Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gení Cerreri having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Yang Yu Hai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahçe51's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yang Yu Hai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gení Cerreri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folker van Zanten in the 33rd minute of the match.
