The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nihat Mesut made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cihangir Onsoy sent off a good shot on target. Nihat Mesut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarık Tayfun in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Pehlivanköy's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Namık Tükelalp came free, but Nihat Mesut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaroslaw Bako dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nihat Mesut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğan Neşet in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Tahsin Atacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Bako saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pehlivanköy's Tahsin Atacan in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Cihangir Onsoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 90 minutes into the game, Şentürk Onuktekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pehlivanköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestine the free kick. Şentürk Onuktekin kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Pehlivanköy's Nihat Mesut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarık Tayfun in the 94th minute of play. Palestine's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
