The referee ignored H E P T A N FC's protests and gave Aykut Zihni a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes H E P T A N FC got a freekick which was hit by Aykut Zihni. Thanks to some nice moves Gaudencio Orlondon could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Herbert Tamulewicz however easily saved by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Yılmaz Satıbey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 27 minutes into the match, Gold Army 1923's Joaquin Ledesma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Tamulewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
