Ulises Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Xiong Di, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, FK Elbistan's goalkeeper Ali Haydar Sahir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naim Süleymanoğlu. Naim Süleymanoğlu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ali Haydar Sahir firmly grabbed it by the left post. FK Elbistan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Ademar de Godoi scored to the left of an out of position Ali Haydar Sahir, making the score, 2-1. Ademar de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Haydar Sahir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After the first half FK Elbistan were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademar de Godoi to make the kick off.
