The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of AN&KARASİPAHİLER booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Önder Ünlü didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aybars Muhsin in the 19th minute of play. Semih Ayyıldız took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediz Tekdoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Demirci in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Semih Ayyıldız saved AN&KARASİPAHİLER from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Birkan Ayyıldız cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Şemsettin Tuyuğ was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Birkan Ayyıldız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Skager kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. AN&KARASİPAHİLER's Semih Ayyıldız played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aykut Nadi in the 43rd minute of play. Semih Ayyıldız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Demirci, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ömer Demirci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Delgadillo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Semih Ayyıldız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aykut Nadi in the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of AN&KARASİPAHİLER booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baba Yorgun didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafet Hazin in the 94th minute of play forced AN&KARASİPAHİLER's goalkeeper Semih Ayyıldız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafet Hazin took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Semih Ayyıldız. Semih Ayyıldız dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KOCAELİSPOR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
