Iwan Pawlik made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mustafa Emre Durkaya however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Türkeş Akşit in the 24th minute of play forced GOMERASPOR's goalkeeper Nils Krüger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Sebastian Kazczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
