Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Abdul Aziz Baroun made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute Luai Al Dekhel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esmael Al Amer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Abdul Aziz Baroun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oun Al Khames. Crystal Palace FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdul Aziz Baroun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 14th minute, Belal Bo Abbas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Luai Al Dekhel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esmael Al Amer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oun Al Khames made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Aziz Baroun in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes, Abingdon's Abdul Mohsen Al Srae shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oun Al Khames came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abingdon reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Aziz Baroun in the 27th minute of play forced Crystal Palace FC's goalkeeper Oun Al Khames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belal Bo Abbas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Esmael Al Amer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Abingdon's Esam Al Muwail got a free kick in the 29th minute. Bassam Al Abdullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oun Al Khames having to interfere. When Luai Al Dekhel came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Crystal Palace FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luai Al Dekhel couldn't finish the play. Oun Al Khames made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Aziz Baroun in the 41st minute of play. Esmael Al Amer made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Belal Bo Abbas sent off a good shot on target. Abdul Aziz Baroun took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oun Al Khames. Oun Al Khames dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Luai Al Dekhel made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Luai Al Dekhel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crystal Palace FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luai Al Dekhel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esmael Al Amer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aqel Sarkhoh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esmael Al Amer having to interfere. Mubarek Al Qattamy kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Abdul Aziz Baroun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oun Al Khames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Aziz Baroun, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Abingdon's goal looked a bit too open when Luai Al Dekhel came free, but Esmael Al Amer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luai Al Dekhel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abdul Aziz Baroun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Abingdon booed when Crystal Palace FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waleed Al Wazan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Abingdon were awarded a corner. Basem Al Ali went to the cornerflag to take it. Basem Al Ali made a great header on Abingdon's corner, it was just that Crystal Palace FC's Oun Al Khames managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Belal Bo Abbas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crystal Palace FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Belal Bo Abbas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esmael Al Amer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Abdul Aziz Baroun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Aqel Sarkhoh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes Abingdon got a freekick which was hit by Abdul Aziz Baroun. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luai Al Dekhel in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esmael Al Amer saved Abingdon from getting behind. The Abingdon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abingdon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
