Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Zenit CK's Eduardo Abel in the 9th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Innokentiy Perov was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Syktyvkar HC through an amazing save. In the 10th minute of the match Zenit CK got a corner. Syktyvkar HC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Teterin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zenit CK's Artem Iodkovskiy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Innokentiy Perov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Elisey Apollonov hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mark Teterin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Innokentiy Perov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elisey Apollonov in the 20th minute. Innokentiy Perov made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Mark Teterin sent off a good shot on target. Syktyvkar HC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Mark Teterin scored to the left of an out of position Innokentiy Perov, making the score, 2-0. In the 26th match minute, Syktyvkar HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evgeniy Voronov to maneuver through the defense. Mark Teterin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Innokentiy Perov having to make a save. Elisey Apollonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Syktyvkar HC's zone, Mark Teterin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Innokentiy Perov came out of the goal and Mark Teterin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Abel hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Mark Teterin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Innokentiy Perov having to make a save. Mark Teterin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Innokentiy Perov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Eduardo Abel came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Zenit CK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Abel couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Mark Teterin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zenit CK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Teterin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Eduardo Abel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Innokentiy Perov was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Teterin in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Innokentiy Perov saved Syktyvkar HC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Elisey Apollonov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zenit CK's supporters rose to their feet, but Elisey Apollonov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Mark Teterin put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Innokentiy Perov. Eduardo Abel might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Innokentiy Perov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Abel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute Eduardo Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Perov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenit CK's Mark Teterin got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
