The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Felix Odintsov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matvey Petrov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semen Adamskiy in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Semen Adamskiy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC GIZ SPb's Matvey Petrov. Matvey Petrov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 played minutes FC GIZ SPb got a freekick which was hit by Vasiliy Rykov. Kopeysk's Semen Adamskiy managed to work through FC GIZ SPb's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Semen Adamskiy dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Guriy Klyachkin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Kopeysk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guriy Klyachkin couldn't finish the play. Yuriy Akhmadulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arseniy Kamaev having to interfere. Roman Averchenko hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Guriy Klyachkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matvey Petrov was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, one of Kopeysk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kopeysk. In the 40th minute FC GIZ SPb were awarded a corner. Artem Agranovskiy went to the cornerflag to take it. Semen Adamskiy struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Matvey Petrov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kopeysk. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuriy Akhmadulin to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Felix Odintsov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC GIZ SPb's Matvey Petrov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimir Banschikov during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes FC GIZ SPb got a freekick which was hit by Yuriy Akhmadulin. The audience was convinced that Guriy Klyachkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matvey Petrov was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Anatoliy Kumachenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arseniy Kamaev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guriy Klyachkin in the 80th minute of play forced FC GIZ SPb's goalkeeper Matvey Petrov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Semen Adamskiy got free with Matvey Petrov in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guriy Klyachkin in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matvey Petrov saved FC GIZ SPb from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Kopeysk's Guriy Klyachkin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matvey Petrov. That made the score 1-3 after 91 minutes of play. Kopeysk played a much better game than FC GIZ SPb and deserved their victory. The FC GIZ SPb players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
