Gleb Kabo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Andrey Izotov made a huge save. Roman Barhin might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrey Izotov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Barhin ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrey Izotov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Barhin in the 12th minute of play. Roman Suhanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Lodygin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute.
