Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Salem Al Abdullah started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wael Abol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anwar Al Muwail having to interfere. Gibrel Abol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamzah Al Motar in the 10th minute of the match. Gibrel Abol came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Charlie von Clausewitz. But to his dismay, Charlie von Clausewitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 14 minutes, Younis Al Balool mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunton Bassett and the Al Yarmouk Kuwait players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Younis Al Balool hit a great ball. Wael Abol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anwar Al Muwail made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Wael Abol sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Hamzah Al Motar made a precise shot to the right of Gibrel Abol. Dunton Bassett's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dunton Bassett's Gibrel Abol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahmoud Al Bloshi in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Mahmoud Al Bloshi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mahmoud Al Bloshi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hamdan Dashti fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunton Bassett's protests and gave Hamdan Dashti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Al Yarmouk Kuwait booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamdan Dashti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlie von Clausewitz scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gibrel Abol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Al Yarmouk Kuwait got a freekick which was hit by Abdul Rahman Shrean. After the first half Al Yarmouk Kuwait were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eyad Al Ansari made the kick off in the second half. Dunton Bassett's Hamdan Dashti got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamzah Al Motar in the 56th minute of play forced Dunton Bassett's goalkeeper Gibrel Abol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khaled Al Besher charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khaled Al Besher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Khaled Al Besher hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Eyad Al Ansari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anwar Al Muwail read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Mosalam Al Bloshi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dunton Bassett the free kick. After a rather tough play, Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Monther Al Mansor got a free kick in the 70th minute. Charlie von Clausewitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gibrel Abol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wael Abol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salem Al Abdullah in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gibrel Abol saved Dunton Bassett from getting behind. If Charlie von Clausewitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Al Yarmouk Kuwait left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dunton Bassett.
