Antony Oliech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romaldkirk. John Karimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mike Kevoo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashton Under Hill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Kevoo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Mwangi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romaldkirk's Joseph Salim Swedan got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Ali Nduro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If John Karimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antony Oliech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harilal Lagat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romaldkirk's Paul Mwangi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Karimi in the 39th minute of play. Ashton Under Hill AFC's Antony Oliech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harilal Lagat in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harilal Lagat during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harilal Lagat kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Ali Nduro fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashton Under Hill AFC's protests and gave Ali Nduro a yellow card for diving instead. Ali Nduro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Harilal Lagat came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Romaldkirk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harilal Lagat couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Romaldkirk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ondoro Kivilu to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Romaldkirk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mike Kevoo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kipchoge Ndereba's late challenge caught a Romaldkirk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kipchoge Ndereba helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Romaldkirk booed when Ashton Under Hill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kipchoge Ndereba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Kevoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ashton Under Hill AFC defense, Harilal Lagat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antony Oliech. The Ashton Under Hill AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antony Oliech should have stopped the shot. If Harilal Lagat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romaldkirk were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ashton Under Hill AFC for a fine match.
