Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Robert Kosgei got the match started through his kick off. After 2 minutes, Tom Leakey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Axbridge and the Blackheath players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Blackheath booed when Axbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Leakey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyrus Israel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Paul Nekesa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yobes Wambua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Mwangi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyrus Israel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Paul Nekesa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Christopher Chepkemei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackheath the free kick. After 17 played minutes Axbridge got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Chepkemei. In the 19th minute, Cyrus Israel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Mwangi came free, but Yobes Wambua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Kiprop's late challenge caught a Axbridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Kiprop helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Axbridge booed when Blackheath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Kiprop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blackheath's Cyrus Israel got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Mwangi in the 38th minute of play forced Blackheath's goalkeeper Yobes Wambua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Robert Kosgei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Nekesa. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 46th minute, Blackheath's Cyrus Israel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When Blackheath's Cyrus Israel in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Axbridge's goalie prevented a goal. After 53 played minutes Axbridge got a freekick which was hit by Musa Limo. Cyrus Israel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Paul Nekesa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Axbridge's Bernard Mwangi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yobes Wambua. That made the score 2-1 after 57 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cyrus Israel in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Nekesa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Blackheath booed when Axbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Leakey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Axbridge's zone, Robert Kosgei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Nekesa came out of the goal and Robert Kosgei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Robert Kosgei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Nekesa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Axbridge defense, Cyrus Israel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Nekesa. The Axbridge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Nekesa should have stopped the shot. Yobes Wambua made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Christopher Chepkemei sent off a good shot on target. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Musa Limo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Robert Kosgei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blackheath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Yobes Wambua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Chepkemei in the 88th minute. Cyrus Israel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blackheath's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
