Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jonathan Waithaka made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Edward Mutuku had to leave the field with a concussion. When Daniel Adhiambo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Axbridge's protests and gave Daniel Adhiambo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Maidenhead booed when Axbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Adhiambo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Nekesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Waithaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Waithaka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maidenhead's Jonathan Waithaka got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maidenhead's Philip Kimely Awino got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Mwangi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Levi Kosgei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Bernard Mwangi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Axbridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Mwangi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levi Kosgei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Axbridge's Tom Leakey got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st match minute, Axbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yusuf Koech to maneuver through the defense. Bernard Mwangi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maidenhead's Rodgers Shah couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Axbridge. Jonathan Waithaka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Philip Kimely Awino hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Rodgers Shah's late challenge caught a Axbridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodgers Shah helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, one of Maidenhead:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maidenhead. Gideon Onsare shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jonathan Waithaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Levi Kosgei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Mwangi in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernard Mwangi to strike the kick off in the second half. Maidenhead's Jonathan Waithaka got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 minutes of play, Axbridge's Christopher Chepkemei made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Levi Kosgei was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jonathan Waithaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Billy Musyoka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Waithaka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Nekesa was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Bernard Mwangi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Levi Kosgei having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Maidenhead's zone, Christopher Chepkemei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levi Kosgei came out of the goal and Christopher Chepkemei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Maidenhead's Philip Kimely Awino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Nekesa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Christopher Chepkemei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Axbridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Chepkemei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levi Kosgei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Axbridge's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Waithaka came free, but Paul Nekesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernard Mwangi might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Levi Kosgei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernard Mwangi ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernard Mwangi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Levi Kosgei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Waithaka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paul Nekesa came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Waithaka slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 92nd minute. Levi Kosgei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Chepkemei in the 96th minute of play.
