Seating: 2114, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Musimbi Kipkoech started the match with the kick off. Sammy Waithaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ben Atieno came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the St Ives FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Atieno couldn't finish the play. When John Waroo fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chingford AFC's protests and gave John Waroo a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamin Kimutai Rop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Musimbi Kipkoech ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mahmoud Kipsang was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Joseph Muhoho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. St Ives FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 28th minute, Musimbi Kipkoech ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mahmoud Kipsang was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Josephat Khadudu charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josephat Khadudu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of St Ives FC booed when Chingford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josephat Khadudu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joseph Muhoho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kipchoge Kamoto having to interfere. Sammy Waithaka struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Kipchoge Kamoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Ives FC. Charles Nekesa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kipchoge Kamoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Kimutai Rop in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kipchoge Kamoto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The corner ended in Sammy Waithaka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chingford AFC's Kipchoge Kamoto did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
In the 55th minute, Wilberforce Owino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Atieno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. St Ives FC's Charles Nekesa got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joseph Muhoho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chingford AFC's Kipchoge Kamoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Waithaka in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Sammy Waithaka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kipchoge Kamoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Atieno in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kipchoge Kamoto saved Chingford AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Chingford AFC's Wilberforce Owino got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ben Atieno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Kipchoge Kamoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ben Atieno might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kipchoge Kamoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ben Atieno ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Kimutai Rop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kipchoge Kamoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the St Ives FC defense, Michael Komen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mahmoud Kipsang. The St Ives FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mahmoud Kipsang should have stopped the shot. After 82 played minutes, Chingford AFC's Raila Nyamau shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mahmoud Kipsang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chingford AFC reached it. McDonald Mwangi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Mahmoud Kipsang made a huge save. When Ben Atieno came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the St Ives FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Atieno couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Chingford AFC's zone, Sammy Waithaka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kipchoge Kamoto came out of the goal and Sammy Waithaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 92 minutes, McDonald Mwangi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chingford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but McDonald Mwangi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Although St Ives FC had been in control for most of the match, Chingford AFC still came away with the win.
